“I wrote Dusty in my student accommodation as I came to the end of my degree. I’d spent 3 years playing music and not put much thought into how I’d pay my bills without a government-funded loan. I used to take long bike rides as an excuse to not spend time applying for jobs that I had no interest in. Luckily all my friends were in the same boat. I hated how temporary everything became after what felt like a lifetime of living around creative energy in a house of 7 other musicians. Hopefully, people can listen to Dusty and find solace in the thought that there are plenty of others that also feel lost in their lives.”
